These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of jottie, a notes application operated by jottie ("we", "us", "our"). By using jottie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Your Account

Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use jottie. By signing in, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and any activity that occurs under your jottie account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or abuse the service is prohibited.

5. Service Availability

Uptime

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of jottie at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes that affect your use of the service.

If we discontinue jottie, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

6. Intellectual Property

jottie, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited license to use the service.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about jottie, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

8. Termination

By You

You may stop using jottie at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, use the account deletion feature in Settings or contact us.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use jottie ends. We may delete your data according to our data retention practices unless you request deletion sooner.

9. Disclaimers

JOTTIE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that jottie will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. AI-generated content may contain errors; you are responsible for verifying accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF JOTTIE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF JOTTIE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or your use of jottie.

12. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the issue informally for at least 30 days.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes not resolved informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. General Terms

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding jottie.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in jottie or sending an email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
